General :
- Coordinates all administrative aspects of production, including preparing final designs for presentation, checking and approving color, copy, text format separations, and scaling images for print production.
- Ensures that all parties are informed of and meet deadlines.
- Prepares layouts, designs, art work and formats for use in publication and /or exhibition design.
- Layout and scale photos, marking them for proper screen values for print reproduction.
- Designs, lays out, and produces artwork such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs and report cover.
- Organizes copy flow and maintains database/bibliographic/archival retrieval system of all references used in creation of published materials.
- May manage budget, including invoicing, tracking project expenditures and assisting in budget development by summarizing, researching and analyzing past project
expenditures.
- May coordinate relationship with vendors; preparing specifications and obtaining estimates for final approval.
- May handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes.
- May provide information to faculty, students and staff regarding design of publication.
- Oversees and trains graphic assistants.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Responsible for managing projects and accomplishing the objectives within the given constraints.
- Be involved in the initial planning to implementation of design projects.
- Be involve in meetings to discuss concepts and ideas for design layouts, colours, images (photos, illustrations, videos, etc.) and other matters concerning overall graphic design.
- Undertake a significant number of projects/ tasks including the company Graphics Manual, Newsletter, Programme Brochures, Corporate Profile, Annual convocation Book and lead web site design.
- Design and maintain corporate website.
- Develop marketing collateral from conceptualization to realization.
- Develop concepts and oversee the layout of the company’s materials.
- Design Annual Convocation Book and other significant documents.
- Liaise with marketing team and other departments, external suppliers, printers
- Proofreading design content prior sending to print.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc design work of company projects and materials.
- Design ICMLP (International Conference Maritime Logistic and Ports.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Diploma / Degree in graphic arts, design, communications, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic design.
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and the web.
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS preferred.
- Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Sketch, InDesign, and other graphic design software.
- Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects.
