This dual-role position combines student counselling with administrative responsibilities in accounts and academic affairs that requires passion for student development, a keen understanding of academic processes, and strong administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Counselling:

  • Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with students and parents.
  • Encourage open discussions by actively listening to student concerns, empathizing with their experiences, accepting their issues without bias, and recommending suitable resources and solutions, while collaborating with other agencies and individuals as needed to address these concerns.
  • Provide guidance and support to students regarding academic choices, career options, and personal development.
  • Keep accurate records and use reporting tools effectively.
  • Create and manage an alumni network to aid in student recruitment.
  • Welcome prospective students by handling paperwork, conducting interviews, and organizing campus tours and follow-ups.
  • Ensure recruiting operations adhere to policies and report any necessary changes.
  • Enhance quality by evaluating and improving processes.
  • Strengthen the admissions department’s reputation by taking on new challenges.
  • Guide the Student Council and manage the Student Council Portal.
  • Participate in orientation, hostel management, extracurricular activities, sports, competitions, industry talks, and other related management activities.

2. Academic and Examination Administrative Duties:

  • Responsible for the safekeeping of student examinations, and academic records and ensuring prompt issuance of result slips upon request.
  • Responsible for data accuracy and security
  • Arranging invigilation, including preparing invigilator schedules, briefing and training invigilators.
  • Document all examination question papers, answer scripts, and related academic papaerwork.

3. Accounting:

  • Coordinate with the accounts department to ensure timely processing of fees and other payments.
  • Assist in communicate & explain to student the calculation of installment payment and advice student regarding the payment method.
  • Assist in registration new student @ new intake.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a registered and a licensed counselor under Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Counseling
  • Experience in student counselling or educational administration is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g., MS Office, Google Suite).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
